Architecture and landmarks

Phoenix was the winter home of world-renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, though the local housing market does not include many of his works. Nevertheless, there’s no question that some of the homes and apartments on the Phoenix market have been influenced by his presence.

Unique Phoenix landmarks include Her Secret is Patience, an art installation made entirely in lights, the Fountain Hills Fountain – the world’s largest fountain for many years -- and the Barry Goldwater Memorial statue. The Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Gammage Auditorium is not to be missed, and neither is the Phoenix Financial Center, a famous example of Googie architecture.
